Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires keen observational skills and the ability to respond effectively to incidents while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Duties

Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard company assets and minimise theft or damage.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid assistance when necessary.
Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for management review.
Collaborate with local law enforcement as required during investigations or emergencies.
Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures while promoting a safe environment for all.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a security role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention methods is advantageous.
Certification in first aid is desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and visitors.
