Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills, gain valuable kitchen experience, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with senior chefs to prepare ingredients, assist in food production, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness are maintained. Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and cooking food items according to established recipes and standards
Support the food production process by chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
Follow instructions from senior chefs and kitchen supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Contribute to team efforts by collaborating effectively with colleagues during busy service periods
Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries and storing ingredients properly
Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities

Requirements

Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Strong team management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated leadership qualities and supervisory experience are advantageous for career growth opportunities
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
