Chef de Partie (CDP) – Weston Manor Hotel

Location: Weston Manor Hotel
Department: Kitchen / Food & Beverage
Reports to: Head Chef / Sous Chef

Overview

Weston Manor Hotel is seeking a skilled and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained.

You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality dining experience across the hotel’s restaurant, events, and private functions.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of a designated kitchen section (e.g. grill, larder, pastry)
Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard
Ensure all food is prepared in line with recipes and portion controls
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your section at all times
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation
Train and support Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff
Ensure compliance with food safety (HACCP) and health & safety regulations
Assist with menu development and seasonal changes where required
Work efficiently during busy service periods, including events and functions

Requirements

Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi CDP ready to step up
Experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment preferred
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational and communication skills
Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Desirable

Culinary qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Experience with banqueting or events service
Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients
