Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machine Operator/Setter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering knowledge and experience with various manufacturing processes found within a machine shop. This position offers an excellent opportunity for part or full time employment, within a friendly family run, business.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
- The cnc machine is a Haas Mini Mill
- Monitor machine operation to ensure accurate production and quality standards are maintained
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in machine setup and component assembly
- Flexible and able to get involved with the assembly of components
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations during setup and production processes
- Maintain a clean, organised work area adhering to health and safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience operating and setting CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of machining processes including milling, grinding, basic turning, and assembly techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and tooling systems
- Understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations relevant to machining tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

Pay: £14.00-£21.00 per hour
