Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Pembridge, Herefordshire working 39 hours per week Monday - Friday.

The Management Accountant role prepares, develops and analyses financial information timely and accurately to allow the organisation to make well-informed decisions, all while adhering to the Accounting Manual and Company policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibility for the Fixed Asset Register and the verification of assets across the UK sites (Pembridge, Selby & Basildon)

Ownership of the IFRS 16 Leased Asset Accounting ensuring Sharecontrol is accurate

Continually reviewing Assets Under Construction and capitalising Assets

Process the Disposal of Assets ensuring they have been approved accordingly

Focus on the accuracy of forecasting Capex spend and Deprecation

Working closely with key stakeholders to collate longer term Capex spend plans for the Budget and Strat Plan years

Post-Acquisition Capex Project Reviews in accordance with the Accounting Manual

Posting journals at month end including prepayments/accruals & provisions

Allocation of Divisional Management & IT Recharges

Work alongside the Finance Business Partners completing business critical tasks such as:

Balance Sheet Recnciliations
Intercmpany Balance Reconciliations
VAT
Inward Prcessing Relief (IPR)
Plastic Packaging Tax

Performing checks and approving both vendor and payroll payments

Creating Banks in SAP

Vendor Confirmations

Aiding with monthly completion & loading to the group reporting system (Tagetik)

Working with key stakeholders to provide timely and accurate information to assist with decision making

Identifying and taking responsibility of areas which could be more efficient in order to give more time to more value added activities

Liaising with internal and external audit to supply backing for journal postings
