Role Summary

The Trainee Buyer supports the Buying team through essential administration and range
development. This hands-on role suits someone eager to learn buying fundamentals in a fast-
paced environment.

Role Responsibilities
Sample Management

Oversee sampling process from proto chasing to VM/photo shoot and press samples.
Liaise with global suppliers to maintain critical path updates.
Prepare samples for meetings and fittings; manage fit log administration.
Organise sample lifecycle, including charity donations.

Trainee Buyer
Job Description

Sensitivity: General

Administration

Maintain departmental filing and supplier correspondence.
Check and update imagery in Synergy, BRP, and VLP.
Send approvals, weekly critical path updates, and trade emails.
Coordinate local/international post.
Complete Packaging and presentation on BRP and publishing data on PIM

Systems

Support Assistant Buyer with critical path management, product labeling, packaging, and

online data readiness.

Trading

Assist with Monday trading packs and performance analysis.

Market Awareness

Complete the retail price map analysis
Complete seasonal and weekly comp shops.

Department Knowledge

Understand the end to end product lifecycle
Understand the product category and customer habits for the department.
Collaborate cross functionally
