Job summary
We're looking for an experienced individual in a customer-facing role who is ready to take the next step in their career. As our Senior Receptionist, you'll continue to work as part of our busy reception team while supporting the Surgery Team Leader with the day-to-day running of the site and deputising during periods of leave or absence. This is an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills in a supportive environment without moving away from patient-facing work.
Main duties of the job
This role is ideal for an experienced receptionist or customer facing individual who enjoys supporting colleagues and wants to build supervisory experience. You'll continue working as part of the reception team while developing leadership skills with the support of an experienced Surgery Team Leader and management team.

Job responsibilities
Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the site and work within the Reception Team. The post holder will work closely with (and under the direction of) the Surgery Team Leader to provide a first class reception service and actively implement the continual improvement of standards across a wide range of activities.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Senior Duties:
- Support the Surgery Team Leader (STL) in the day to day running of the site, providing senior cover during periods of leave and sickness absence.
- Support the reception team adapt to changes and promote a positive approach.
- Help ensure monthly reporting duties are met in the Surgery Team Leader’s absence.
- Be available to help and advice new staff during their induction and training.
- Act as a point of contact and support for agreed areas of practice administration
- Help maintain high standards across reception and administration tasks.
- Ensure the site follows practice policies and health and safety requirements
