Team Leader 3rd Shift

Shift Pattern 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 23:00 - 07:00

Location:
Rittal-CSM Ltd, Plymouth, Devon

Salary:
£19.48 per hour (plus 33% shift premium)

Contract Type:
Permanent, Full-time

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Team Leader to join our Production team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in supporting our high‑performing manufacturing operations.

As a Team Leader, you will play a key part in driving our mission of delivering excellence in the manufacture of our enclosures. You’ll guide and support your team, help maintain safe and efficient processes, and ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential. We are primarily looking for strong leadership capability, someone who can motivate, organise, and develop a team effectively. If you bring excellent people‑management skills and a proactive approach, we can teach you the technical side.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the team to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
Ensure materials, components, and information are available and correctly processed throughout the shift.
Maintain strong shop floor presence, promoting safety, quality, and adherence to company standards.
Coordinate shift handovers and communicate effectively with other Team Leaders and departments.
Monitor performance, resolve issues, and escalate when needed to achieve daily targets.
Oversee equipment checks, housekeeping standards, and support continuous improvement activities.
Update records, audits, and systems (including SAP) accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Experience
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. To succeed, you’ll bring:

Essential:

Supervisory Management Level 2 (or similar).
Experience of people management.
Experience in problem solving and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Health & Safety training for Managers and Supervisors.
Training in key leadership and people‑management topics
Recognising the Value of Your Team

Desirable:

Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 or equivalent.
Mechanical Engineering knowledge.
Lean Manufacturing / Quality Systems training.
Experience using SAP or similar systems.

This is a full-time position, Sunday–Thursday, 37.92 hours per week.
