Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to be part of our service and regulation of recreational activities on the River Thames at Sunbury, Molesey and Teddington locks. The key roles are to provide a front facing service to customers and to regulate river levels through weir operation. The team at Teddington lock provides a 24-hour service and is the gateway to the non-tidal River Thames where our jurisdiction starts as the authority. It is also our hub for managing incidents across the entire river.
Key responsibilities:
Management of Health, Safety and Wellbeing for you and your team
Assisting boat traffic through the locks
Providing a front facing service to our customers
Maintaining the sites facilities, grounds and gardens
managing incidents through a duty desk service
Advising on regulatory issues
taking payment for boat registrations and site services
Incident Response
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be asked to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment, and full training will be available to support you with your incident role.
