Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals within care homes or home care settings, ensuring they receive the highest standard of personal and emotional support. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive and respectful care. The role involves working closely with clients to promote their well-being, independence, and comfort.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support clients in maintaining their independence according to individual care plans
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
Provide assistance at mealtimes as required and support in providing meaningful activity to residents
Document care provided accurately and report any concerns to senior staff
Assist with light domestic tasks at times to ensure a clean and safe living environment
Support clients with mobility and transfers, utilising appropriate techniques and equipment
Maintain clear communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential as training and support will be provided
Good command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts including days, nights, evenings, or weekends as required
