Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Dozer Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating bulldozers to assist in earthmoving and site preparation activities. This role requires a strong understanding of machinery operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining high standards of safety and precision.
Duties
- Operate bulldozers to move earth, gravel, and other materials according to project specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the dozer to ensure optimal functioning
- Assist with site levelling, grading, and excavation tasks as required
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met
- Follow safety guidelines at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any equipment issues promptly
- Support other machinery operations such as excavators when necessary for project needs
Skills
- Proven experience operating bulldozers in a construction or civil engineering environment
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on machinery
- Familiarity with excavators and other heavy equipment is advantageous
- Valid CPCS preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively.
