Job Overview
I need a knowledgable and capable lawn care supervisor, competant in all aspects of lawn care. This person will be a dedicated Lawn Care professional who can take the service we provide forward despite uncertain weather. The role involves both hands-on maintenance work and planning to ensure high-quality landscape and garden care for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of lawn care from start to end, and the ability not only to plan strategy around seasons, but also respond to unforseen changes. This position offers an opportunity to effectively run this lawns busiiness, as well as work outdoors in some lovely local gardens and estates, contributing to the enhancement of residential and commercial landscapes.
The position is in Bourne End SL8, not Herts.
Duties
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mowing and fertilising
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment such as irrigation systems
- Plan and schedule maintenance tasks based on client needs and seasonal requirements
- Perform minor repairs and mechanical service maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Use knowledge of lawns and their problesm to advise clients on improvements
- Maintain detailed records of work completed and plan future maintenance schedules
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operations
Requirements
- Strong organisational skills for planning maintenance schedules effectively
- Proven experience in lawn maintenance and installation
- Mechanical knowledge related to garden lawn equipment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, digging, and operating lawn care equipment safely
- Knowledge of related gardening practices and horticulture techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Valid clean driving licence is critical, must be insurable
- A proactive attitude with good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
