Ride with Greg is a specialist companion transport service supporting children, older adults, and vulnerable individuals to travel safely, comfortably, and confidently.

The Role
We are looking for caring, reliable, and professional Companion Drivers to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and understands that every journey is about more than simply getting from A to B.
You will accompany passengers to schools, hospitals, appointments, community activities, airports, and other destinations, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and supported at all times.
Key Responsibilities
As a Companion Driver, your duties will include:
- Safely transporting passengers using company vehicles
- Providing friendly companionship throughout each journey
- Assisting passengers in and out of vehicles where appropriate
- Supporting children, older adults, and individuals with additional needs
- Completing daily vehicle safety checks
- Maintaining accurate journey records using company systems
- Communicating professionally with families, schools, care providers, and office staff
- Ensuring vehicles remain clean, presentable, and fully equipped
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies at all times
- Delivering excellent customer service on every journey
Essential Requirements:
- A full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
- Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Private Hire Taxi Licence with Buckinghamshire Council
- Minimum age of 25, due to insurance requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- A friendly, calm, and patient personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and excellent timekeeping
- Confidence using smartphones and navigation apps
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Willingness to complete safeguarding, first aid, and manual handling training

Previous companion driving experience is not required, as full training will be provided.
