About the Role
7th Heaven is looking for a talented and creative Cake Artist to join our bakery team in Potters Bar. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in customised fondant cakes, 3D cake designs, and professional cake finishing.
You will be responsible for creating beautiful celebration cakes while also supporting the preparation of other bakery products, including general cakes, desserts, and menu items.

Key Responsibilities
- Create customised cakes using fondant, icing, buttercream, and other decorating techniques.
- Design and produce 3D cakes such as characters, vehicles, themed cakes, and celebration cakes.
- Perform cake covering, sculpting, frosting, piping, and detailed finishing work.
- Prepare other bakery products including cakes, desserts, and sweet treats.
- Ensure all cakes meet high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Complete customer orders within required timelines.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised workstation.
- Follow food safety standards, recipes, and bakery procedures.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a Cake Artist, Cake Decorator, or Bakery Chef.
- Strong experience in customised fondant and icing cakes.
- Good knowledge of cake decoration techniques and finishing standards.
- Experience with 3D cake structures and themed designs is essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple orders.
- Good attention to detail and creativity.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
