About Ingfield Manor School
Ingfield Manor School is a specialist, non-maintained school and part of Salutem Care and Education. Set within idyllic grounds and benefiting from outstanding specialist facilities, the school provides education and therapy for children and young people aged 3–19 with neurological motor impairments, including Cerebral Palsy, alongside associated medical and sensory needs.
The school follows the Conductive Education approach, promoting holistic development through physical, communication, educational and life skills learning.

Part time permanent hours: 24 hours per week Term Time Only
The Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work as part of a skilled trans-disciplinary team, helping students develop the functional skills and independence needed to access learning and everyday life.
You will contribute to assessment, planning and delivery of occupational therapy programmes while embedding therapeutic strategies throughout the curriculum and wider school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver individual and group occupational therapy programmes
Work collaboratively within a trans-disciplinary team
Assess and recommend specialist equipment and environmental adaptations
Support seating assessments and solutions
Promote active learning and independence in self-care skills
Assess access to technology and communication support systems
Contribute to moving and handling and eating and drinking plans
Write professional reports and maintain accurate records
Attend reviews and liaise with families and external professionals
Support staff training and development
Ensure students are treated with dignity, respect and autonomy at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential
Degree in Occupational Therapy
HCPC Registration
Experience working with neurological impairment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to assess occupational performance and develop clear treatment plans
A flexible, child-centred and collaborative approach
Desirable
RCOT Membership
Experience working with children and young people
Sensory Integration knowledge
Hand splinting experience
Knowledge of specialist equipment and adaptations
Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams
