Broadwater Medical Centre – Job Description

Job Title: Patient Services Advisor - 2 posts available , see below hours for each post. Please specify which post you are applying for.

Post 1 Monday 13.30 - 18.30, Wednesday 13.30 - 18.30, Friday 13.30 - 18.30 - 15 hours

Post 2 Monday 13.30 - 18.30, Tuesday 8.00 -13.30, Thursday 13.30 - 18.30, Friday 13.30 - 18.30 - 20.5 hours

Reports to: Patient Services Manager

Broadwater Medical Centre is currently seeking 2 Part-Time Patient Services Advisors to join our caring, friendly and fun team.

We are looking for reliable and committed individuals who are enthusiastic, empathetic and comfortable with responsibility in a busy Medical Centre. The applicants will need to be able to work accurately and at pace whilst maintaining excellent customer service skills showing empathy to the patients and dealing with all queries.

Our Patient Services Advisors (Medical Receptionists) act as a central point of contact for patients over the phone or in person, and quickly process information in order to effectively direct patients or book appointments in a timely manner.

Good keyboard skills and the ability to gather information efficiently and accurately are essential. Using your own initiative is considered a highly desirable skill, and previous NHS experience would be beneficial.

Ultimately, we are looking for people with a ‘can do’ attitude as full training will be provided to the right applicants but of importance is the ability to work well under pressure and also be a great team player.

We require the successful candidates to work hours agreed, however flexibility is key as we are a small team so additional hours would be required of the successful applicant to cover holidays or sickness.
