Novus Health is a trusted provider of NHS funded services, supporting thousands of patients each year across Wakefield and the surrounding areas. From physiotherapy and dermatology to minor surgery and hearing care, we deliver accessible, compassionate care that puts patients at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a full time Hearing Care Assistant to join our Adult Hearing Loss service. You will play an important role in delivering high quality aftercare, supporting patients with their hearing devices, and helping them get the most out of their rehabilitation journey. This is a hands on role combining clinical support, patient interaction, and administrative duties, all within a supportive and collaborative team.
Working alongside our Audiologists, you will help ensure patients receive a seamless, friendly, and efficient service across our Hubs and outreach clinics.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting Audiologists with routine procedures, including otoscopy, pure tone audiometry (without masking), hearing aid fitting/refitting, and aural impressions.
- Delivering hearing aid repairs, maintenance, and post fitting reviews both virtually and face to face.
- Providing clear advice on hearing aid use, care, and self management.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting appointment co-ordination.
- contributing to stock management, service efficiency, and patient engagement.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, organised, and confident working with the public. They will enjoy helping people, have excellent communication skills and be committed to delivering high quality, compassionate care. Experience in a healthcare or customer facing environment is desirable, but full training will be provided.
