ROLE: Cleaning Operative
HOURS: 8:30am - 4:30pm (40 Hours in a week)
LOCATION: Millsike Prison, YO41 1PS

We're looking for a Cleaning Operative who will support Mitie Care & Custody (C&C) in its bold vision to establish HMP Millsike as a place of restoration and rehabilitation, where prisoners can unlock their full potential and make meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Role Responsibilities:-
Maintaining cleanliness in the establishment by carrying out cleaning tasks to a high standard.

Stocking and maintaining supply rooms to ensure all areas remain fully equipped.

Following health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines, at all times.

Conducting disinfection and deep cleaning when required.

Reporting any incidents, defects, or dangers to the supervisor promptly.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to use initiative when completing tasks.

Strong customer service skills applied to every job attended.

Flexibility within contracted hours and a ‘can do' attitude.
