Commissioning Officer – Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner – 18 months Fixed Term Contract/ Secondment
Are you an organised and proactive commissioning professional looking for a role where your skills and ideas make a difference? Or perhaps an experienced provider, with first-hand knowledge of delivering commissioned services, and are ready to use that insight to help shape and improve services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
We are looking for a Commissioning Officer to join the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and play a vital role in enabling the delivery of services that support victims and witnesses, reduce crime and improve outcomes for local communities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of public service, supporting the management and monitoring of a diverse portfolio of contracts and grants that directly contribute to the Police and Crime Commissioner's priorities.
What you'll be doing?
Coordinating and supporting contract and outcome monitoring meetings - helping to ensure services funded by the OPCC are delivering real benefits for victims, communities and local people.
Building strong relationships with funded organisations - acting as their main point of contact and supporting them to meet monitoring requirements, demonstrate impact and access funding promptly.
Turning data into insight - gathering and translating local performance information into national returns that showcase the difference commissioned services are making across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Researching emerging needs and opportunities - using evidence and intelligence to help shape future commissioning activity, develop funding opportunities for local providers and support procurement processes from start to finish.
Working collaboratively with a wide range of partners - including policing, criminal justice agencies, local authorities, health partners and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes and maximise the impact of public investment.
Supporting the commissioning of services that matter - helping to ensure funding is invested effectively and delivers the best possible outcomes for local communities.

This is being advertised as an 18-month Fixed Term Contract to respond to an increase in workload.
