We are seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to playing a hands on role to ensure all activity of InBond operations are delivered to exceptionally high standards and within agreed processes and procedures, whilst providing effective leadership to manage operational staff.
Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 6am - 10pm.
- Overseeing the tasking of the Operational team on a daily basis.
- To effectively track allocated tasks, along with monitoring the order management system for new orders / customer requests.
- To be able to adjust the team effectively, ensuring that the customer requirements are met.
- To have a strong stance with the deliverance of set company standards
- Be able to track and monitor KPI’s and to hold documented conversations where needed.
- Staff Rota creation and planning.
- Ensure customers’ expectations are met or exceeded by service levels provided.
- Provide structured, on‑the‑job training to team members and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Toolbox Talks (TBTs) are completed, understood, and consistently followed to the required standard.
- Carry out and document return‑to‑work discussions with team members in line with company policy, ensuring any support needs or attendance concerns are addressed appropriately.
- Participate in staffing matters, including performance concerns and disciplinary procedures. This includes holding and documenting formal and informal conversations with team members as required.
- Playing an active ‘working’ role with operational activities.
- Liaise with Senior Managers to resolve issues and improve operational efficiencies.
- To be the Health and Safety Lead for the operational activity
- Overseeing the adherence of safe working practices.
- Maintain a flexible approach to all working practices.
- Promote positive and effective staff input
- To be proactive in problem solving and providing initiatives to the operation
- Utilise the warehouse management system (WMS) to increase efficiency in all operational areas – including processes & task management
- Maintain stock accuracy
- Good Housekeeping and Working Practices
- Managing the fleet of MHE, overseeing the daily inspections and following the correct process of reporting issues and arranging services.
- Managing Company Vans, arranging repairs and services.
- Ensure the shelving and racking is fit for purpose and conduct regular inspections
- Overseeing the site facilities, including the tasking of daily site tasks i.e. internal and external ‘upkeeping’ tasks.
