Overview
The role of the Despatch Coordinator is to provide support to ensure our customers receive their orders on-time and in-full (OTIF).
The role supports the process from order entry through to customer delivery, completing key tasks at each stage of the process to ensure customer expectations are met and costs are controlled.
DETAILED ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Order Fulfilment: Ensure all orders are despatched and each task is completed accurately, and within the agreed delivery window.
· Transport Provider Liaison: Work with the company's transport provider to coordinate daily load build and loading schedules to ensure efficient fulfilment of customer orders, and quick resolution of any delivery issues.
· Site Logistics: Provide support to the yard function, producing and updating loading schedules, reacting to any changes as they happen to reduce delays and waste.
· Customer Communication: Proactively update key stakeholders regarding any delays or changes to delivery schedules. Ensure transparency around outstanding balances and revised delivery schedules, maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
· Invoice Query Resolution: Take ownership for the investigation of all queries related to the Despatch services team, enabling any issues to be resolved promptly and to the satisfaction of both parties. Identify and implement any corrective actions necessary to reduce the reoccurrence of similar queries.
· Report Generation: Generate daily and weekly KPI reports, identifying and reporting errors prior to circulation.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Experience in despatch, logistics & order fulfilment.
· Understanding of transport & despatch admin and customer service requirements.
· Competent with computer-based business systems, including Microsoft Excel.
· Strong communication skills.
· Proactive in enabling process improvement & customer satisfaction
Pay: Up to £28,000.00 per year
