Not your typical property management role.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll combine commercial property management with practical, on-site responsibilities—playing a key role in keeping our business park safe, presentable, and fully operational.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Property Manager to oversee and manage our commercial business park in Hyde. This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to someone with strong commercial awareness, practical maintenance knowledge, and excellent tenant relationship skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site, maintaining high standards, and maximising property value, while working closely with a supportive management team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the business park, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies
Conduct regular property and site inspections to identify maintenance requirements and uphold presentation standards
Carry out routine site checks, including health & safety and compliance inspections
Perform basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs where appropriate
Oversee general site upkeep, including tidying, waste management, and ensuring communal areas are well maintained
Undertake basic landscaping duties such as maintaining external areas, pathways, and green spaces
Conduct fire alarm checks and assist with safety inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Act as the main point of contact for tenants, handling enquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally
Coordinate leasing activities, including liaising with agents, marketing available units, and conducting viewings
Maintain accurate records including tenant details, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation
Utilise property management systems for lease administration and reporting
Prepare reports on property performance, occupancy, and tenant satisfaction
Liaise with contractors and maintenance teams for specialist works and ensure timely completion
Work collaboratively with the wider management team and Estates Manager to support site operations and strategic planning

Requirements

Previous experience in property management or a similar role preferred
Practical, hands-on approach with basic maintenance and repair skills
Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements (including fire safety)
Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team
Proactive and problem-solving mindset
