Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Caseworker to join our legal team immediately. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing litigation cases efficiently, providing essential support to our legal professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to contribute to a dynamic legal environment. The role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced setting, supporting complex legal processes and ensuring timely case progression.

Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining litigation case files with meticulous organisation and attention to detail
Drafting, editing, and reviewing legal documents using Microsoft Word and other relevant software
Communicating effectively with clients, courts, and external agencies via email and phone calls
Scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines using Microsoft Outlook, ensuring adherence to strict timelines
Conducting research and gathering documentation relevant to ongoing cases
Assisting with the preparation of legal submissions and correspondence
Monitoring case progress and updating relevant parties regularly
Ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legal standards throughout case management

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Litigation Caseworker or in a similar legal support role
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong organisational skills
Demonstrated IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new software tools quickly
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to support litigation processes efficiently. Prior experience in legal settings combined with excellent organisational abilities will be highly valued.

Pay: From £36,000.00 per year
