Production Assistant (FLT Required)

We're looking for a motivated Production Assistant to join our site in Elsham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with FLT experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to build a long-term career.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Production Assistant, you'll support the Operator/ Operators with the day-to-day running of the production line, including:
- Assisting with the safe and efficient operation of the machine/s
- Loading and unloading reels
- Wrapping, weighing and preparing finished reels
- Safely operating Counterbalance and VNA forklift trucks
- Using lifting equipment safely within the production area
- Assisting with daily cleaning and medical-grade cleaning of machinery
- Completing end-of-order cleaning and housekeeping activities
- Segregating and disposing of production waste
- Changing adhesive IBCs
- Emptying production waste bins
- Operating the baling machine safely
- Operating the core cutting machine safely
- Completing cleaning schedules and production documentation
- Using the SAP system to locate materials, issue stock to machines and return unused materials to stock (full training will be provided if you don't have SAP experience).
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Current Counterbalance FLT Licence
- Current VNA FLT Licence
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
- Good attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desirable
- Experience using SAP or another ERP/Warehouse Management System (training will be provided).
What We Offer
- Permanent, full-time position
- Average 42 hours per week
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days followed by 2 nights)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x your hourly rate
- Bank Holidays paid at 2x your hourly rate
