Job Overview:
This position is Temporary 6 months (Part time or Full time)
We are currently seeking a Temporary Packer to join our team in a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling materials, ensuring quality control, and efficiently packing items for shipment.
Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfilment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer requirements and quality standards.
- Replenishment. Accurately pick, pack, and prepare replenishment for retail shops.
- Receiving and Put-Away: Receive incoming shipments, inspect them for damage, verify accuracy against purchase orders, and properly store items in designated areas.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts, identifying, and reporting discrepancies, and assisting in periodic physical inventory counts.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet established standards, reporting any issues or defects to the appropriate personnel.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials, and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Order Processing Systems: Utilise warehouse management systems and other relevant software applications to accurately record inventory movements and update order statuses.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively is vital.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail vital
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous
- Experience with a small company is advantageous
- Experience packing clothing or working in retail is advantageous
- Experience folding clothes/gift wrapping is advantageous
- Familiarity with quality control procedures advantageous
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: £13.60-£14.60 per hour
