The role
Join the Data and Analytics team in Transmission Digital to deliver scalable, analytics products across SSEN Transmission. You’ll lead the development of analytics solutions using Power BI and related platform technologies, helping shape how insights are delivered across the organisation.
You will
- Lead the design, development and optimisation of Power BI reports, semantic models and analytics products across a range of operational and analytical use cases
- Take technical ownership of analytics solutions from requirements through to production, ensuring they are scalable, reusable, performant and supportable.
- Work closely with analysts, engineers, architects and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into robust analytical solutions.
- Apply strong data modelling, DAX, Power Query and performance optimisation practices to deliver high quality analytics products.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics delivery standards, including agile delivery, version control, release processes, documentation and support handover practices
You have
- Proven experience leading the development of analytics products and semantic models within a complex business environment
- Extensive experience working with a range of data sources, including operational systems, spreadsheets, shared data platforms and business managed data
- Expert understanding of data modelling principles, DAX, Power Query, performance optimisation and reusable dataset design
- Experience working collaboratively across technical and business teams to define, challenge and deliver practical reporting solutions
- Lead experience and the ability to take full ownership of complex end-to-end technical analytics delivery, working from loosely defined requirements and shaping them into robust, performant, scalable solutions.
