Hours: 35 per week (Requirement to work weekends and evenings with 2 mid-week days off)

Salary: £32,596 - £36,145 pro rata

We are looking for people to act as the eyes & ears for various Council services and to work in co-operation with other organisations, landowners and communities. The job will cover sites owned and/or managed by the Council and other partners, to promote the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and to contribute to the Visitor Management Plan in response to expected high visitor pressures.
The key role is working with visitors & residents providing information and advice; talking with people in clear, positive and persuasive ways to encourage responsible outdoor access. You will work weekends and some evenings within a 35 hour working week. This will involve working on your own, or in a small team, as well as working with partner organisations and their ranger teams. A vehicle will be provided for patrolling the assigned area only, but there will be no office base. Post holders need to be adaptable and flexible within the job description as we need to be reactive to changes in visitor use through the season.
