About the Role

ICC Communication Network Services is looking for an Insurance Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to the underwriting team. The successful candidate will assist with processing insurance applications, maintaining accurate policy records, preparing documentation, and supporting underwriters in assessing and managing insurance risks.

Key Responsibilities

Assist underwriters with the processing and administration of insurance applications.
Review application forms and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Enter and maintain policy, client, and underwriting information in internal systems.
Prepare quotations, policy documents, endorsements, and other insurance documentation.
Assist with gathering information required for risk assessment.
Liaise with brokers, clients, insurers, and internal departments regarding policy requirements.
Track outstanding information, documentation, and underwriting requests.
Support policy renewals, amendments, cancellations, and adjustments.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with company procedures.
Assist with underwriting reports, spreadsheets, and administrative tasks.
Monitor deadlines and ensure underwriting documentation is processed promptly.
Follow relevant insurance regulations, company policies, and data protection requirements.
Provide general administrative support to the underwriting team.

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience in insurance, underwriting, financial services, administration, or a related field is desirable.
Good understanding of insurance terminology and underwriting processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good numerical and analytical abilities.
Ability to handle confidential customer and policy information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
Relevant insurance qualification or willingness to work toward one is an advantage.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
