We are delighted to be recruiting a Retail Supervisor to join our retail team on a full-time permanent basis.
As a Retail Supervisor, you are responsible for the smooth running of the retail areas on a day-to-day basis, taking responsibility of the department in the absence of the Retail Manager. You will positively contribute towards the achievements of the department, supporting the Retail Manager, motivating the team, and ensuring appropriate stock levels and displays at all times.
- Team Supervision. To co-ordinate the activities of the team to meet the needs of the business. To inspire, coach, and develop staff to achieve high levels of performance.
- Customer Service. To ensure high levels of customer service are consistently delivered, leading by example.
- Sales. Actively develop methods for improved sales potential and cost controls and motivate the team to achieve targets through up-selling and pro-active sales.
- Merchandising. Ensure all areas are stocked, tidy, and well presented in-line with the Retail Standards and paying particular attention to good stock rotation and waste management.
- EPOS Systems. Accurately maintain product information, prices, and stock levels through the effective use of the EPOS system, under the guidance of the Retail Manager.
- Cleanliness & Presentation. High standards to be maintained at all times and in compliance with H&S requirements, particularly regarding good food hygiene and cross contamination risks.
- Deliveries. Process deliveries accurately and in-line with company procedures, reporting errors or damages.
- Health & Safety. Carry out all duties in-line with the H&S policy, and ensuring safe practices are carried out within the team.
- Administration. When required, supporting the retail manager with purchasing stock, maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring stock takes are recorded. Managing shift rotas in the retail managers absence.
- Company Standards. Ensuring the team are working in accordance with the Companies policies and procedures, maintain these standards and informally dealing with any issues of non-compliance.
- Personal Standards. Arriving to start work at a good time. Adhering to company dress and presentation standards. Maintaining a professional attitude, reflecting the company image.
- Flexibility. Covering periods of sickness, holiday within the team and covering holiday when the retail manager is absent.
- Recruitment. Assisting the retail manager with screening, interviewing and on-boarding new members of the team. Communicating with the HR department on new starters in the retail managers absence. Ensuring all new starter administrative tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Any other duties as requested by your manager.

Due to the nature of our business, supervisors may be asked to assist in other commercial areas, overseeing the team and assisting where needed. A flexible approach is key.
Pay: £31,500.00 per year
