About Us
Loading Center Logistics Ltd is an established and growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider based in Ipswich.
We provide warehousing, fulfilment, container devanning, ETSF customs operations and UK distribution services for a wide range of customers across the UK.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse operation and support the continued development of the business.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our warehouse.
You will lead the warehouse team, plan and coordinate daily operations, maintain high operational standards and work closely with the Directors to improve efficiency, service quality and overall warehouse performance.
The role requires strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills, together with the ability to manage a busy and changing warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day warehouse operation.
- Lead, supervise and develop the warehouse team.
- Plan daily workloads and allocate staff and resources effectively.
- Coordinate inbound, storage, fulfilment and outbound operations.
- Oversee container devanning and customer dispatches.
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
- Monitor warehouse productivity and operational performance.
- Ensure customer requirements and deadlines are met.
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance.
- Develop, implement and improve warehouse SOPs and working procedures.
- Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
- Support staff training and performance management.
- Work closely with the Directors on operational improvements and business development.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience managing warehouse operations.
- Experience within logistics, warehousing, distribution or a 3PL environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good organisational and workload planning skills.
- Ability to prioritise effectively in a busy warehouse environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety requirements.
- Good IT skills and experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Experience
- Previous 3PL or fulfilment experience.
- Amazon FBA experience.
- Experience managing warehouse KPIs and operational improvement projects.
- Forklift licence.
- Customs or ETSF warehouse experience.
