Join Our High-Performing Used Car Team
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Used Car Transaction Manager to join our successful used car operation.
Reporting directly to the Used Car Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales performance, managing customer enquiries, maximising lead conversion, structuring profitable deals, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from first contact through to vehicle handover.

The Role
As Used Car Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team in converting opportunities into sales whilst ensuring all transactions are managed efficiently, profitably and compliantly.
You will take ownership of the sales pipeline, helping to maximise enquiry conversion, finance penetration and overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Enquiry Management
- Manage and support the conversion of all incoming sales enquiries, including digital, telephone, email and showroom leads.
- Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with the sales team to maximise enquiry-to-appointment and appointment-to-sale conversion rates.
- Proactively follow up customers to progress opportunities and secure vehicle sales.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system.
- Monitor enquiry performance and support continuous improvements in lead management processes.
Sales & Profitability
- Support Sales Executives in structuring and closing vehicle sales.
- Maximise profitability through effective deal management and presentation of finance and value-added products.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue while maintaining excellent customer outcomes.
- Support the achievement of departmental sales, finance and profit targets.
- Ensure all deals are structured in line with company objectives and compliance requirements.
Customer Experience
- Deliver an outstanding customer journey from enquiry through to vehicle handover.
- Build strong relationships with customers and understand their individual requirements.
- Manage customer expectations and resolve issues professionally and effectively.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and positive customer reviews.
Finance & Compliance
- Present and arrange finance solutions and approved ancillary products.
- Ensure all finance documentation and customer records are completed accurately.
- Maintain full compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure all customer files are complete and audit-ready.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with the Used Car Sales Manager and Sales Executives to maximise team performance.
- Support the development of best practice sales processes.
- Contribute positively to a high-performing, customer-focused sales culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Transaction Manager, Business Manager, Sales Controller or Senior Sales Executive within the motor trade.
- A proven track record of converting enquiries into vehicle sales.
- Strong finance and F&I knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation, closing and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- A thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
- A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- A full UK driving licence.
