Full job description

IBT are looking for an experienced BMS Service Engineer with expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising Building Management Systems. Skilled in HVAC controls, BACnet/Modbus communications, fault diagnosis, commissioning, energy management, and customer support. Proven ability to deliver planned and reactive maintenance while ensuring system reliability, energy efficiency, and client satisfaction.

*Salary TBC based on expertise*

Desirable for

BMS platforms (Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell,
HVAC systems knowledge
Electrical control systems and schematics
Control panels, sensors, actuators, and field devices
Fault finding and diagnostics
Network communications (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, TCP/IP)
Metering and energy management systems
Commissioning and recommissioning of BMS systems
Software modifications and graphics development

Service & Maintenance Skills

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
System health checks and optimisation
Backup and restoration procedures
Trend analysis and performance monitoring
Calibration of field devices
Root cause analysis

Health & Safety

Risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
Electrical safety awareness
Safe isolation procedures
Compliance with building regulations and industry standards
Working at height awareness

Customer Service Skills

Client relationship management
