Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bread Baker to join a small team within our family run bakery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of bread products in a professional bakery environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare doughs according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough dividers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to the correct colour, texture, and flavour.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with ingredient inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Follow all health and safety procedures during food preparation and baking activities.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a bakery operation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, baking processes, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A passion for baking and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
- Relevant culinary or baking qualifications are preferred but not essential if accompanied by practical experience.
