The Role
Assisting in managing projects of various sizes ensuring clear and accurate budgets are produced at tender. Developing and building effective relationship with both clients and internal departments to ensure the contract is completed within its projected budget
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the other commercial team members with the running of the scheme
- Direct interface / liaison with the supply chain including material suppliers & sub-contractors
- Assisting with subcontract procurement and management including setting up and manging small works orders, applications & invoices
- Assisting with the identification and management of change control.
- Responsible for keeping both the in house and client early warning and compensation event registers up to date
- Maintain commercial information relevant to the contract & being able to report figures back to the Commercial Director
- Assist with the preparation of reports
- Assist with the preparation of applications for payment
- Assist in preparing compensation events & early warning notices for your line manager
- Assisting with tendering where required
- Commercial administration
- Following MSF’s approved procedures of work.

- Methodical approach to tasks and thinking
- Deal with multiple responsibilities and deadlines
- Confident communicator and able to build professional relationships with people at all levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Thrive in a busy environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and associated software
- A good team player
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree qualified, due to graduate or currently studying in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
