Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our culinary team.

Preparing and grilling gyros and souvlaki to authentic Greek standards

Slicing, assembling, and serving high-quality wraps and platters

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Grill Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Has experience working with a grill, preferably in a Greek or Mediterranean kitchen

Knows how to prepare and serve gyros and souvlaki (or willing to learn fast)

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring all meals meet quality and presentation standards.

Assist in meal preparation, including marinating meats, chopping vegetables, and preparing sauces.

Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.

Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to facilitate smooth operations during busy periods.

Help with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Follow recipes accurately while also being open to new culinary techniques and menu items.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred, particularly in roles involving grill cooking or food food safet

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
