How You'll Perform the Role
Vegware’s goal is to become the world’s best-known brand of environmental foodservice packaging.
In this role, you’ll perform the vital function of supporting the development of market-leading compostable and recyclable foodservice packaging. You will also support the robust Vegware compliance process, which ensures the standards and quality of our suppliers and products. Given appropriate training and guidance, you will be a key player in an exciting variety of projects under the remits of the Product & Procurement Manager and the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Manager.
You will be relied upon for meticulous administration, applying a critical eye, and practicing quick thinking and action. The successful candidate will acquire a solid understanding of a broad set of responsibilities that the combined Product and Compliance team hold. You will be exposed to several varying skill sets, allowing the role holder to grow their strengths and specialisms. We need someone to use their initiative, plan their own time effectively, practice joined-up thinking, and be an all-round support for senior team members.
What We Need From You
New Product Development
- Manage product compliance documentation requests and filing. Includes initial evaluation
- Coordinate resourcing sample dispatches with Sample Room & Suppliers
- Sample logging and organisation
- Support the Sharepoint filing of all product documents received from external contacts
- Product meeting preparation and notes
Quality
- Support the performance testing process, including equipment maintenance & ordering
- Be the designated liaison person with the customer service team on live quality complaints
- Responsible for logging issues reported by customer service team on the QC Issues tracker
- Organise sample dispatches of faulty products for analysis
- Prepare, send and collect compliant letters from suppliers
- Complete meeting minutes and circulate actions to designated team members
Supplier Due diligence
- Support the Supplier Manual project
- Support the supplier KPIs project
Compliance & certifications
- ISO documentation admin support
- Monitor certification expiry and correspondence with suppliers
- Responsible for mapping certifications in Sharepoint
- Update trackers & filing systems regularly to ensure all data captured.
Product Governance
- Product FAQ project support
- Draft Declarations of Compliance documents to support the Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Manager
- Conduct weekly maintenance of our internal data sharing system
General support
- Product Compliance shared inbox queries
- Allocate emails to the relevant team member in the shared inbox
