Preschool Teacher (Level 3 Early Years, QTS, EYTS or EYPS.

Location: Rocking Horse Montessori Nursery, Carleton, Skipton
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Starting from £13.48 to £ 14.05 ph according to qualification.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Preschool Teacher to join our dedicated team.

The Role

As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while creating engaging, child-led learning experiences. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS and the nursery curriculum.
Support children's learning, development and school readiness through play-based experiences.
Act as a Key Person, building positive relationships with children and their families.
Observe, assess and record children's progress using nursery assessment systems.
Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Promote children's communication, language, confidence and independence.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.
Support children with additional needs alongside the nursery SENCO where appropriate.
Maintain accurate records, including observations, accident reports and daily diaries.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
Contribute to continuous improvement and participate in training, staff meetings and professional development.

What We're Looking ForEssential

Level 3 Early Years Educator , Qualified Teacher Status (QTS),Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) or Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)
Experience working in an early years setting, particularly with preschool children (3-5)
Good knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach.
Passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Desirable

Montessori experience or qualification.
Paediatric First Aid qualification.
Experience supporting children with SEND.
Knowledge of Ofsted expectations.
