Full job description

Quest Waste Management is a trusted leader in environmental services, specialising in drainage, liquid waste, and bulk tanker operations. With a strong reputation for reliability and quality, we deliver compliant, efficient solutions to clients nationwide.

Following a recent contract win and continued business growth, we are expanding our operational team and are now recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Tanker Drivers to support increased demand.

You will play a key role in the safe and efficient transportation of liquid and controlled waste, working on a 4 on / 4 off rota (days and nights), including weekends and public holidays as part of the shift pattern. This is a varied, hands-on role within a fast-growing business, offering stability, training, and long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a range of specialist vacuum tankers (full training provided where required)
Respond to emergency call-outs including sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents
Collect and safely dispose of liquid and controlled waste in line with all regulatory requirements
Maintain full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures

Essential Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than 6 penalty points
Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph card
Tanker experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
Previous training or competency in high-pressure jetting, first aid, or manual handling is desirable
A flexible, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills as the business grows
Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays and out-of-hours shifts as part of a 24/7 operational service
A current, up-to-date Street Works card is desirable and would support meeting contract requirements
