Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimise our supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, shipping, and receiving processes, ensuring seamless coordination across various departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong analysis skills and experience in logistics management systems to contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations. The position is paid and suitable for candidates eager to develop their career within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Coordinate and monitor transportation activities using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SyteLine software to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Manage shipping and receiving processes, including scheduling, documentation, and tracking of shipments via AS400 systems.
Liaise with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain efficiency and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
Analyse supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Maintain accurate data entry related to inventory, shipments, and logistics records with attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers through professional phone etiquette and written correspondence.
Oversee the organisation of logistics documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and delivery notes.
Assist in inventory management by supporting shipping & receiving activities and maintaining stock accuracy.

Skills

Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), AS400, SyteLine, and other relevant software platforms.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including shipping & receiving operations.
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for decision-making purposes.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette.
Accurate data entry skills with a high level of organisation.
Experience working within logistics or supply chain environments is preferred.
Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Good typing skills for efficient documentation and correspondence. This role offers an engaging environment for motivated individuals looking to advance their career in logistics management while contributing significantly to organisational success through effective coordination and analysis.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
