Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful visualisations, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced analytical tools and methodologies to drive business growth and efficiency. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and interpret large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and VBA to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations with Tableau and Power BI to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
Conduct business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.
Design and optimise database structures within Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.
Manage projects related to data initiatives, adhering to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Utilise Visio for process mapping and documentation of workflows.
Support database design efforts to enhance data collection strategies and reporting capabilities.
Apply project management principles to ensure timely delivery of analytical solutions.

Qualifications

Proven experience in data analysis with a strong understanding of SQL, R, Python, and VBA.
Proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Solid knowledge of database management systems including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with SDLC processes and project management methodologies.
Strong business analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
Familiarity with database design principles and data modelling techniques.
Knowledge of Bash (Unix shell) scripting is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Effective communication skills for presenting technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Pay: £44,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
