Full job description

We're looking for a School Caretaker who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Job title: School Caretaker (Site Agent)
Contract: Permanent
Type of employment: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £ 13.31 per hour
Shift Pattern: 6.30am - 3pm, 10am - 6.30pm, between 10am and 10.15pm- 3 days a week
Location: Challney High School for Girls, Addington Way, Luton, Bedfordshire, England LU4 9FJ

Role Responsibilities:
Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.

Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Open, honest, self-driven, and determined.
Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
