Working pattern
This is a part time position with a contract of 21.75 hours per week, with availability for overtime.
The days/times that we are recruiting for and would like you to be available to work are:
Ideal availability will be Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (at least one weekend day is required). Shift patterns will be between 8.30am and 6pm.
As part of your contract, we ask for availability that is, as a minimum, one and a half times your weekly hours. For example, if you were on a 10-hour contract, we would ask for 15 hours of availability. This doesn’t mean you will work 15 hours (unless there is overtime available, and this may be offered to you) but your shifts may be placed anywhere within the availability you provide. This helps us build fair, consistent rotas, and ensures we can meet customer demand across the week. With this role being in Retail, you must also be available to work one late night and one weekend day per week.
You will have at least 2 weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. If you can’t exactly match the hours and days we are looking for, this can be discussed. We are always happy to hear from you.
The Role - Greeter
Our customers will be your main focus, and everything you do will be with their shopping experience in mind. The Greeter is the colleague who creates the spark that ignites the in store journey for our customers. They are loved for being a familiar friend who always provide a Warm Northern Welcome to our customers. You will have high degree of customer interaction and should therefore have a friendly, polite and approachable manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers when they arrive
- Caring for the outdoor plants
- Maintaining a high level of trollies and baskets for customers to use
- Working safely on the cark park
- Saying goodbye to leaving customers
