Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Supported Living Deputy Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations within our care environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents, supporting the management team, and supervising staff. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your leadership skills and experience in assisted living or care home settings to make a positive impact on residents’ lives. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for maintaining compliance with care standards, implementing care plans, and fostering a compassionate, safe, and respectful environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

Assist the Registered Manager in coordinating and delivering personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
Supervise and support care staff, ensuring they deliver compassionate and professional assistance at all times.
Oversee medication administration in accordance with prescribed protocols and legal requirements.
Lead on staff training programmes, including inductions and ongoing development to ensure high standards of care.
Monitor resident wellbeing, responding promptly to any concerns or changes in condition.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, health and safety policies, and company procedures.
Support with recruitment, performance management, and rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Foster positive relationships with residents’ families and external healthcare professionals.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality through audits, feedback, and best practice implementation.

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living or care home environments, with a strong understanding of care needs.
Knowledge of Learning Disabilities and Autistic care principles and practices.
Experience in managing or supervising care teams within a home care or care home setting.
Competence in developing and implementing personalised care plans.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills.
Ability to administer medication safely and accurately.
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills tailored to residents’ needs.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to adult social care services.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of care delivery.

This position is ideal for experienced carers seeking progression into management roles within supported living environments. The successful candidate will be committed to providing exceptional person-centred care whilst leading by example within a supportive team setting.

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
