We are a small local charity that pack a powerful punch, supporting local people in the community with cancer. We are unique in the community in that we deliver over 20 services, all free, to people living with cancer.
1 in 2 people will likely get diagnosed with cancer in a lifetime and our experience reflects this with the number of service users increasing by approx. 25% year on year.
Currently just under 7% of people with cancer in Enfield access our services, that means there is huge unmet need in the community.
We want to change this and have an exciting and ambitious plan to increase access and reach to include currently under-represented groups such as diverse communities, younger people, and more men while addressing socio-economic and cultural barriers to access.
The Communications and PR Officer will play a crucial role in raising awareness and visibility of The Nightingale during at this exciting time of growth.
We are looking for a passionate and driven communication officer to help put us on the map. If this sounds like you, please read on.
