Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Installation Engineer (domestic and/or commercial), with around 5 year plus experience.

Depending on experience and qualifications this would be reflected in the pay scale.

There is an opportunity for a domestic engineer to train and work towards a commercial qualification.

There is an opportunity to train towards the installation of Air Source Heat Pumps.

Duties

Install domestic and/or commercial gas systems and appliances in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements.
Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs efficiently.
Carry out plumbing tasks related to gas system connections and fittings.
Utilise basic maths skills for measurements, calculations and adjustments during installation processes.
Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during installation and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in gas installation or related mechanical roles within a domestic or commercial environment.
Competency in plumbing, gas works, unvented cylinders.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment used in gas system installations.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Valid driving licence.
Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Gas safe qualification.
G3 unvented qualification.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Gas Installation: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
