We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Live-In Carer to join our friendly team, supporting adults in a supported living environment.
You’ll provide one-to-one, person-centred care that empowers individuals to live full, meaningful lives. Every day is different — from helping with personal care and household tasks, to supporting hobbies, social outings, and personal goals.

Role Purpose
To deliver high-quality, person-centred support to adults with physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or complex health needs. You’ll work with each individual to achieve their personal goals, encourage independence, and create a safe, supportive home environment where they can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, grooming, continence support) with kindness and respect.
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, following care and nutrition plans.
- Administer medication safely and accurately.
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and transfers, using safe moving and handling techniques.
- Encourage and support individuals to engage in activities, hobbies, and community outings.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity in all aspects of daily life.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies to promote positive interactions and manage challenging situations calmly and respectfully.
- Provide companionship and emotional reassurance, helping individuals feel valued and heard.
- Maintain clear and accurate care records, notes, and reports.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure holistic care.
- Follow all safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety procedures.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in supported living, complex care, or Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) environments.
- Knowledge of medication administration and manual handling.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
Accommodation and Working Arrangements
- Comfortable private bedroom provided within the supported living home.
- Food and utilities covered while on duty.
- Access to Wi-Fi and shared living spaces.
- Agreed rest periods and regular breaks between live-in shifts.
Additional Information
- All applicants must complete an enhanced DBS check and provide two professional references.
- Full induction and ongoing training will be provided to ensure you feel supported and confident in your role.
