We are a small family run business based in Thrapston, Northamptonshire, currently looking for reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our growing business for transport work across the UK.
This role will involve a mixture of low loader work & container haulage.
There is the potential to be tramping night outs during the week, delivering and collecting containers from ports and customer sites nationwide.
Low loader work will be a mixture of a variety of plant machinery, access platforms & HGV units with the inclusion of new & used
Job Details
- Class 1 driving
- General haulage/container transport along with low loader work.
- Monday to Friday tramping (intermittent)
- Night out allowance paid
- Full-time, permanent position
- Immediate starts available
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience of loading excavators, dumpers, rollers etc. knowledge of using chains & binders
- Previous container experience preferred (but not essential)
- Port cards desirable (but not essential)
- Good knowledge of driver hours and regulations
- Professional and reliable attitude with a good care & attention for the safety of load being transported
