Warehouse Operative/Shunter PM
(Driving Vans around the site & Mini Bus driving)
Sunday - Thursday 18:00 - 02:30 (40 Hours)
£14.02 per hour

We are a major distributor of tyres in the UK, with depots around the country.
We are looking for a confident Warehouse Operative/Shunter to drive out seven seater mini bus, duties will include transferring operative to and from the pick up points. Shunting vans around the yard along with Warehouse Operative duties.
You will work in a team. Duties will include:
- Shunting (Driving Vans around the site)
- Taking workers to and from the pick up points (Driving the seven seater minibus)
- ensuring the relevant paperwork is completed and handed in to the transport office
- Ensure you read, sign, understand and comply with the driver’s code of conduct
- Checking the vehicle before commencement of the shift and after completion of it,
- Ensure you read, sign, understand and comply with the driver’s handbook
- Ensuring all road transport laws and regulations are adhered to
- Ensuring the vehicle is clean and tidy at all times, internally and externally
- In the event of an accident ensuring you follow company procedure
- Only fuel the vehicle at approved company establishments with the correct fuel and never with a premium or advanced fuel
- Ensuring daily completion of vehicle checks, including completion of a defect report.
- Unloading and accurately locating tyres in the warehouse from deliveries received
- Accurate picking of tyres per those listed on the picking sheets, checking IPC codes where applicable to ensure accuracy
- Working at a level of efficiency required by the company as instructed by your supervisor
- Loading vans carefully and accurately per the packing sheets
- Performing stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
- Respectfully and safely using warehouse machinery where, and only if, you are authorised to do
- Adhering to company health and safety policies at all times
- Respecting, helping and encouraging your work colleagues
- Communicating shortages and stock discrepancies efficiently
- Keeping the warehouse and tyres in a clean and tidy state
- On rare occasions, and if you have the relevant licence, you may be required to do deliveries to customer and you will perform this willingly
Training and Development
If you show that you can work effectively and demonstrate the determination to succeed in a challenging environment, you may be able to train and obtain qualifications:
· Reachtruck driver;
· Forklift operator;
· Warehouse related NVQs;
