Location: Oxford (Projects Across the Midlands & Surrounding Regions)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (DOE)

TimesGroup Ltd is a growing Mechanical & Electrical Contractor delivering projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, residential, industrial and public sectors.
Due to an exciting pipeline of secured and upcoming projects, we are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our Projects Division on a permanent basis.

Whilst this role is advertised from Oxford, you will be assigned to projects across the Midlands and surrounding regions in line with business requirements.
The Role
As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing mechanical building services installations from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and our internal delivery teams, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a wide range of commercial mechanical projects, including HVAC, heating, plumbing and public health installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical projects from pre-start through to practical completion and final handover.
- Plan and coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, materials and procurement.
- Prepare and manage project programmes to ensure key milestones are achieved.
- Attend pre-start, progress, design and client meetings.
- Manage Mechanical Supervisors, plumbers, pipefitters and specialist subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project costs, identify variations and support the commercial team where required.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate commissioning, flushing, pressure testing, balancing and final handover documentation.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, consultants and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation, specifications, Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the construction industry.
- Proven track record delivering commercial mechanical building services projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, plumbing, pipework and public health services.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to manage project costs and programmes.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as required.
- SMSTS (preferred).
- CSCS Managers Card (preferred).
- Relevant Mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent).
