Job Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Supervisor to join our fast-paced production team in our DBP Sauage site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing or team-leading experience who is ready to develop their leadership skills in a supportive environment.
As a Supervisor, you will work closely with experienced supervisors and managers to learn all aspects of production leadership. You’ll play a key role in ensuring operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in line with food safety and quality standards. We will provide full training to help you fulfil your potential.
- Supervise the day-to-day operation of the allocated production area, ensuring
products are manufactured safely, on time, in full, and to the required quality, food
safety, and customer specifications.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop production operatives, completing inductions,
competency assessments, performance reviews, and identifying training needs to
build a high-performing team.
- Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good
Manufacturing Practice (GMP), food safety, health and safety, hygiene, allergen
management, contamination controls, and site security requirements.
- Oversee the operation, set-up, calibration, and verification of production equipment
and critical control systems, including Vemag, Autoloader, Olympus, X-ray, Metal
Detection, Flow Wrap, Vacpac, and checkweighers.• Monitor product quality and traceability through label verification, weight and
temperature checks, gas checks, production records, and Critical Control Points
(CCPs), taking immediate corrective action where required and escalating food safety
or quality issues appropriately.
- Manage non-conforming products, rework, product holds/quarantine, species
segregation, stock control, Work in Progress (WIP), date coding, and packaging
materials to maintain brand integrity and minimise waste.
- Ensure production documentation and KPI reporting are completed accurately and in
real time, monitoring line performance and driving continuous improvement to achieve
operational targets.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards, ensuring production lines are clean,
organised, and ready for operation, including overseeing washdowns and ensuring
only approved packaging and labelling materials are present on the line.
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Quality team, and other
departments to deliver business objectives, support improvement initiatives, and
undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.

Dayshift: 5 days out of 7 - 7am-4/5pm/Finish
£14.84 per hour
This role is part of our Production Pathways Programme. You will start the Programme as a Level 1 trainee supervisor and through training and experience progress through Levels 2 and Level 3.
